This week, we suggest an exercise for finishing with a shot on goal.
Materials needed: cones, markers, soccer balls.
Number of players: 5–8 players + 1 goalkeeper.
Description of the exercise:
The materials are arranged as shown in the picture, and each player A will have a ball in their possession.
Player A passes the ball long to player C (1), player C dribbles the ball a few meters (2) and passes it short to player B (4).
Player B runs in (I), takes possession of the ball, and finishes the action with a shot on goal (4).
The players will change places in alphabetical order.
Progression I of the exercise
Player A passes the ball to player C (1), player C passes the ball to player B (2).
Player B passes the ball to the next position (I) to player C (3).
Player C passes the ball short to player B (4).
Player B runs in (II) and finishes the action with a shot on goal (5). Players will change places in alphabetical order.
Progression II of the exercise
Player A passes the ball to player B (1), player B passes the ball short to player A (2).
Player A runs towards the ball (I) and passes the ball to player C (3).
Player C passes the ball to player B (4), player B runs towards the ball (II) and passes the ball to player C (5) in the next position (III).
Player C dribbles the ball a few meters (6) and then passes it short to player B (7).
Player B runs (IV) and finishes the action with a shot on goal (8). The players will change places in alphabetical order.
