⚙️ Organization
-
The game can be played outdoors or on a flat surface.
-
Number of participants: 20–30 children.
-
The players are divided into two teams, equal in number and strength.
-
The teams stand facing each other, about 20–30 meters apart.
-
Each team marks its own field with a line.
-
A captain is chosen for each team.
🕹️ Game description
A coin toss decides which team starts the game.
The team that begins secretly chooses a profession (without revealing it to the opponents).
The “professionals” step forward until they reach the line facing the other team and start miming the chosen profession.
The opposing team must guess the profession.
If they guess correctly, they shout the name of the profession aloud and run to catch the “professionals,” who try to escape back to their field.
Any player caught while running becomes a prisoner of the opposing team.
If the opponents do not guess correctly, the “professionals” continue miming until they receive the right answer.
In the next round, the other team takes its turn, choosing a new profession.
After each round, the captains exchange prisoners so that each team can restore its full lineup.
The game continues until the time limit expires.
At the end, the team that has no prisoners left is declared the winner.
⚖️ Important rules
-
The “professionals” can only be caught in the space between the two boundary lines.
-
If the opposing team shouts the wrong profession, the “professionals’” captain must clearly respond “No!”, and the game continues.
💡 Variations and recommendations
-
The teacher can prepare a list of professions suited to the children’s age (e.g. doctor, teacher, cook, firefighter, mechanic).
-
For extra fun, funny or creative roles can be added (magician, dancer, actor, etc.).
-
The game can also be adapted for smaller teams, depending on the available space.
